 Tuesday, September 2:  Fly to St. Louis and transfer to our hotel, DRURY INN UNION STATION for 2 nights.  All Drury Inns feature a Free Hot, Quickstart Breakfast each morning. 


  Wednesday, September 3:  Local touring:St. Louis Cathedral and the Grant Farm where the Clydesdales live.  Dinner is included tonight. (B,D)


  Thursday, September 4:  Enjoy a city tour after breakfast, then transfer to the River Barge.  Rooms wil l be ready in the afternoon, but you can enjoy a complimentary shuttle from noon to 6:00 p.m. with stops at the Jefferson Memorial, the Old Cathedral and the Gateway Arch.


  Friday, September 5: Barging on the Upper Mississippi with an early arrival in CAPE GIRARDEAU. 
  Saturday, September 6:  Morning visits to downtown Cape Girardeau.  Tour the Common Pleas Courthouse, Old St Vincent's Church, historic Glenn House, the Cape River Heritage Museum and the Red House Interp. Center.  Afternoon departure and witness the Confluence of the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers and late evening passage through LOCK 52.


  Sunday, September 7:  Arrive early in Paducah, KY for an overnight stay.  Explore  the Wm. Clark Market House Museum, the downtown River Heritage Museum and the Museum of the American Quilter's Society.  You'll never look at quilts the same way a gain!


  Monday, September 8:  Depart early from Paducah and enjoy the entire day, barging on the CUMBERLAND RIVER.  This afternoon we pass through the Barkley Lock.  The sun-deck affords you ever changing scenery.


  Tuesday, September 9:  Enjoy some daytime barging on Lake Barkley and the Cumberland River before our midday arrival in Clarksville, TN.  Visit a local winery and the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center before our late evening departure.


  Wednesday, September 10:  More barging on the Cumberland and passage through the Cheatham Lock early this morning before our midday arrival in Nashville, TN.  We overnight on the barge with opportunity to shop and sightsee at the sights close to the barge docks.  There will be a complimentary shuttle from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. to the Country Music Hall of Fame and  Honky Tonk Row.  On your own you can visit the Ern est Tubb Record Shop and the Wildhorse Saloon, all within walking distance of the barge.


  Thursday, September 11:  After a hearty breakfast we disembark and our charter bus will give us a city tour including the Belmont Mansion & the State Capitol Bldg.  Later we check-in at our home for 2 nights,

the DURY INN NASHVILLE. 


  Friday, September 12:  Enjoy some more local touring

this morning includes Belle Mead Mansion, Parthenon,

the Hermitage, then rest up for our visit to the

GRAND OLE OPRY this evening.  (B,L)


  Saturday, September 13:  Transfer to our flight home after breakfast and head for home.

 

DEPOSITS: $300 P.P.  If booked before June 4,

The River Barge has 98 staterooms in two levels. 

Upper level, Platinum Deck rooms have a small balcony.  Lower level, Royal Deck rooms are the same size without the balcony.  Each room features individually controlled AC/Heat, select satellite TV, VCR, mini-fridge, coffee maker, full-size tub w/shower, fair dryer, large picture windows that open & choice of twin or super queen beds.
Dress casually "always" with open seating for meals.  "Raid the 'fridge in the Galley, 24 hrs a day.  Complimentary soft drinks, juice, coffee & tea.  NO tipping is allowed.  There is even complimentary self-service laundry facilities on board.
