  We so enjoyed this art display at the Portland Art Museum that we felt it called for another visit.
First we enjoy our included lunch at the Rhinelander German Restaurant, then visit the art exhibit:   "HESSE, A Princely German Collection."  The Princes of Hesse invite you to share in the artistic heritage of Germany.  This is the first and only exhibition ever in America.  It includes the finest art and objects from their castles and museums.  One of the works of art is the world-famous Holbein Madonna, a masterpiece of German Renaissance Art.  There are over 400 exquisite treasures, such as Baroque silver & furniture, a royal coach & gilded throne, German Romantic paintings, portraits, Faberge' pieces and much more.
