Monday, June 20:  Get on board as we head north through Portland, Vancouver, and Olympia on our way to Tacoma WA for a 4 night stay at LaQUINTA INN/TACOMA DOME. 

We arrive early afternoon and visit the Tacoma Zoo & Aquarium.  Dinner is included tonight after check-in.  (D)

Tuesday, June 21:   Your hotel features breakfast each morning.  Our first adventure today will be to visit the LaMAY AUTO MUSEUM.  Mr. LaMay collected  fabulous old, restored cars dating way back into the early days of horseless carriages.  Volunteer docents tour us around and tell fascinating anecdotes about their favorite cars.  After lunch we visit the MUSEUM of GLASS.  See works by world-renowned contemporary artists.  Enjoy watching artists at work in the HOT SHOP where they create and explain their art. Wednesday, June 22:   Today we visit the TACOMA ROSE GARDENS and the SEYMOUR BOTANICAL CONSERVATORY.  (B)

Thursday, June 23:   Late this morning we will ride across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge on our way to Gig Harbor.  Lunch will be included at Anthony’s Restaurant in Gig Harbor.  Then we board a large open boat for a 2 hour cruise from Gig Harbor through the Narrows and under the Narrows Bridges.  Our cruise ends at Point Defiance Park where our bus will be waiting for our return.  (B,L)

Friday, June 24:   Alas, we need to head for home.  We hope you enjoyed another of our Destination Series Tours where we spend more time in one location.
