   of those who will enjoy

        a few days in the

      San Francisco area.

Sunday, June 14:  Our route today takes us down the I-5 highway through Grants Pass, Medford and over the Siskiyou Mountains, past Mt Shasta and Shasta Lake, ending the day in Corning, CA at RAMADA INN.

There is a casino next door.
Lunch will be included today as we travel south.  (L)

Monday, June 15:  A Breakfast Buffet is included at the  this morning.

Then we continue south to Fairfield where we visit a Chocolate Candy Factory & the world famous Jelly Belly Factory.  After lunch we make a stop at the Budweiser Brewery before heading west to the city by the bay.  Home for the next 4 nights is the RADISSONHOTEL /FISHERMAN'S WHARF.  (B)
*Everyone will have 3 day passes for the Muni System good for several of our activities.  It is good on street cars, buses, & cable cars.

Tuesday, June 16

Breakfast is on your own,

but be ready to take a historic Street Car Ride

to the Ferry Building where we transfer to the

Golden Gate Ferry.  The ferry cruises past Alcatraz Island to Sausalito.  Find lunch on your own and then we transfer to the BAY MODEL VISITOR CENTER which is a U.S. ARMY CORPS of ENGINEERS  project that is a scale model of the San Francisco Bay & Sacramento-San Joaqin River Delta System.  This model provides a unique opportunity to see the impact of any project being considered for construction along the system.  After this visit we transfer back to the ferry docks and ferry back to Pier 41, just a short walk from our hotel.  Dinner will be included tonight at the Wharf.  (D)

Wednesday, June 17:  Our charter bus will transfer us to Golden Gate Park to visit the California Academy of Sciences Museum, recently featured in the October Sunset Magazine.  This museum looks like it should be amazing.

This stop looks like it might be worth the trip all by its self.  We will spend several hours here and then enjoy an included lunch.  Perhaps later today you can enjoy a ride on the Cable Car .  Your pass will be good for this at no extra cost to you.

Thursday, June 18:  Our own charter bus

takes us to Napa, CA for a lunch tour on the

NAPA VALLEY WINE TRAIN.  This train ride

lasts about 3 hours and travels right up

through the Napa Valley vineyards and back. (L)

Friday, June 19:  Don't forget your heart as we leave San Francisco heading back toward home.    Accommodations tonight are at HAMPTON INN in Red Bluff, CA.  Dinner is included tonight.  (D)

Saturday, June 20:  After an included breakfast with your room, we retrace our route north through Redding back into Oregon.  We will visit the Sundial Glass Bridge in Redding.  We arrive back home late afternoon.  (B)
