Tuesday, March 28:  Your private chartered bus will head south on

I-5 through Oregon, over the Siskiyou Mtns. and into the San Fernando Valley of California to Williams, CA. spending the night at Granzella's Inn.  A get-acquainted dinner will be included.  (D)


 Wednesday, March 29: We continue south on I-5 through Sacramento, Stockton and finally to Bakersfield, spending one night at Bakersfield Red Lion Hotel.  Before checking in, we visit the California Living Museum which features over 200 species of Native Californian animals, birds & reptiles, some of which are endangered. (B)


 Thursday, March 30:  We head out this morning, continuing south over the Grape Vine Mtns. through Los Angeles along the coastline to San Diego.  We first visit Mission Basilica San Diego De Alcala, referred to as the Mother of the Missions.  Father Junipero Serra founded this mission as the first of all California Missions, July 16, 1769.  It was moved from its original site at Persidio Hill in 1774.  We check-in at our San Diego home for 4 nights, Sommerset Suites.  (B)


Friday, March 31:  We start out today with a visit to the Famous San Diego Zoo.  Your admission tickets have access to the Bus Tours taking you around through the park as well as the Sky Tram that gives you a bird's eye view.  We will be here into mid-afternoon. 
  We finish this day's adventure at Old Town San Diego, a settlement  remembering Mexican and early American years from 1821 - 1872.  There are historic buildings and adobe homes.  (B) & (each evening a hospitality time is provided at the hotel.)


Saturday, April 1:  No Foolin'!  Later this morning we head for Escondido to Lawrence Welk's Resort.  Here we have time to visit the Welk Museum and enjoy a wonderful Buffet Lunch before the matinee performance of "EVITA" performed in the Lawrence Welk Theater.  (B, L)


Sunday, April 2:  We visit Seaport Village for awhile, then have the balance of the day for Seaworld with its shows and marine life exhibits.  See Shamu the Killer Whale, dolphins, sea lions and otters and much more. (B)

Monday, April 3:  Alas we have to head toward home.  Again we head up I-5 through L.A. and over the Grapevine Mtns. through Bakersfield, through Raisin Country to Fresno, spending the night at the Piccadilly Inn/University. (B)


Tuesday, April 4:  We retrace our route northward through Sacramento, Redding, past Shasta Lake to our home for the night, Caboose/Railroad Resort close to Dunsmuir.  Each room is in a remodeled Caboose and is in view of the Castle Crags Peaks.  Dinner will be included this evening. (B,D)


Wednesday, April 5:  We will be including a continental style breakfast before we head for home.
Enjoy the spring scenery as we travel back over the Siskiyou Mountains into Oregon.  (B)
