Wednesday, July 1: We head out traveling north on I-5 to Portland,
then east/northeast following the Mighty Columbia River, through the Palous Hills to Spokane where we spend the night at the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS in Spokane Valley, WA. Enjoy a nice hospitality reception at your hotel this evening. (R)
Thursday, July 2: Your hotel features an expanded Continental Breakfast this morning. As we depart Spokane, we head into Idaho to Coeur d'Alene, then turn north up the Idaho panhandle, entering Canada at Kingsgate.
YES, you need a PASSPORT for crossing the border.
We cross into Mountain Time Zone soon after entering Canada.
We will lunch around Cranbrook, B.C. before continuing on past Lake Columbia to Radium Hot Springs and over the Great Divide into Alberta.
Our goal today is Calgary, Alberta, where we spend the next 3 nights
at the COUNTRY INN & SUITES. (B)
Friday, July 3: Breakfast is featured each morning with your room in Calgary. Later this morning we visit HERITAGE PARK, a living museum displaying the way it was in years gone-by. This afternoon we rest up a little for this evening's CHUCKWAGON RACES & GRAND STAND SHOW featuring music and dance on stage. The grand finale' is a wonderful fireworks show. (B)

Saturday, July 4: Relax this morning and enjoy the hotel amenities. This afternoon our tour bus takes us back to the Stampede grounds to enjoy the CALGARY STAMPEDE. Grab you hat and come ready to enjoy the talents of these professional cowboys & cowgirls. (B)
Sunday, July 5: After breakfast we head westward from Calgary past Olympic Park and into Banff National Park. We will visit the town of Banff to enjoy its lovely parks and Bow Falls. The grandeur of the Canadian Rockies is hard to describe. Sometimes the beauty is so wonderful you almost forget to take photos to remember it by. There will be many stops along the route before we reach our home for tonight at Lake Louise Lodge in the Village of Lake Louise. Dinner will be included tonight close to Lake Louise. (B,D)
Monday, July 6: We head on up the Canadian Parkway into Jasper National Park, following the Athabaska River. Lunch will be included before we transfer to the Giant Sno-coaches for a ride out onto the Athabaska Glacier. Later we enjoy a visit to Sunwapta Falls, then arrive at our home for 2 nights at JASPER INN in the village of Jasper. (L)
Tuesday, July 7: Enjoy some local sites
as we head for Lake Maligne.
Besides lunch we will have a boat ride
on Lake Maligne climaxed by
a visit to Spirit Island. (L)
Wednesday, July 8: We head back into British Columbia, following the Yellowhead Hwy. as we leave the Rockies behind. Hopefully we will be able to see Mt. Robson today on the B.C. side of the Rockies. Then we turn south to our home for the night at HAMPTON INN/Kamloops.
Thursday, July 9: Our route today follows the Thompson River to where it joins the Fraser River, then we continue south along the Fraser over Jack Ass Pass to Hope where we turn west to Abbottsford where we cross back into the U.S. Our home tonight is at the HAMPTON INN at Bellingham.
They have fresh cookies and milk in the evening.
Dinner is included tonight near our hotel. (B, D)
Friday, July 10: Enjoy a wonderful Expanded Continental Breakfast at the hotel this morning. Continuing south from Bellingham we stop to visit the Boeing Plant at Everett WA where they make the Jumbo Jets. We tours the plant and enjoy the air museum at their new visitor center. Later, we find lunch and then head on home through Seattle, Olympia, and Portland.
