Thursday, September 30:

Our route takes us over the Cascades through Sisters, Bend, Burns and Ontario into Idaho, stopping for the night at OXFORD INN in Boise, ID. 

The hotel features an evening reception with appetizers and your choice of wine, beer or soft drinks. (R)

Friday, October 1: After your complimentary Full Hot Breakfast Buffet, we head on eastward across Idaho through Twin Falls, Burley and into Utah passing the Great Salt Lake to the RED LION in Salt Lake City. (B)

Saturday, October 2:

A "Roarin' Start Breakfast" gets us going this morning.  We take a little time to do a mini-tour of Salt Lake City before heading south and east through some red rock country to Moab, UT where we spend the night at LA QUINTA INN. (B)

Sunday, October 3: Today we head for Durango, CO, sightseeing along the way.  Our home tonight: COMFORT INN. (B)

Monday October 4: We continue on southeast into New Mexico.  We will visit the Aztec Ruins National Monument this morning.  This settlement began in the late 11th Century.  Our next stop is in Albuquerque, NM for a two night stay at BARCELONA SUITES. (B)

Tuesday, October 5: Hopefully the weather will be right for a lift off of Hot Air Balloons.  There are other opportunities during the day for various competitions. (B)

Wednesday, October 6: There is a Mass Ascension scheduled for this morning.  We will hope for the best.  Later this morning we check-out and head north to Santa Fe, NM to the SAGE INN, located close to the heart of  historic Santa Fe. (B)

Thursday, October 7: We will have all day to explore the historic downtown area.  Your tour includes a Loretto Line Tram Tour that will give you an in-depth view of the Historic Area. (B)

Friday, October 8: After breakfast we head north again.  This time to Chama, NM to catch the narrow gage CUMBRES & TOLTEC RR to Antonito, CO.  Lunch is included during this very scenic ride.  Our bus will meet us in Antonito to transfer us to Alamosa, CO to the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS. (B, L)

Saturday, October 9: Continuing our route north, we head for Denver for a 3 night stay at DRURY INN. This hotel chain features a nice evening reception with beverages and appetizers each evening and a hot breakfast buffet each morning.  This evening however, we hope to have a MURDER MYSTERY DINNER SHOW included. Sunday, October 10: Today's adventure includes some local touring of the area, showing you Red Rock Park, the City & County Bldg., the State Capitol, the Art Museum and more.  Lunch is INCLUDED today. (B, L, R)

Monday, October 11: Today we plan on TOURING the Denver Mint, the State Capitol and visiting the Denver Zoo. (B,R)

Tuesday, October 12: Westward HO!  Leaving Denver today, we head over the Rocky Mountains through Glenwood Springs, enjoying the fall colors of the aspen.  Then on to Grand Jct.., CO surrounded by high red sandstone bluffs.  QUALITY INN.  (B)

Wednesday, October 13: Today we travel into Utah passing the Great Salt Lake and the Bonneville Salt Flats, stopping for the night at MONTEGO BAY HOTEL/CASINO in Wendover, NV.  The have a FREE BUFFET and $5 casino play for each guest. (B, D)

Thursday, October 14: We retrace our route after we continue west into NV and then back into Idaho.  Just after crossing the Snake River into Oregon we stop for the night at HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS in Ontario, OR.

Friday, October 15: We return home to Eugene by cutting across Oregon again through Burns, Bend, Sisters and over the Cascades, following the McKenzie River back to Eugene.  We might even see some fall colors on this route too. (B)
